Roof water is the biggest source of water at your foundation. Clear gutters and downspouts that discharge far from the wall do a lot of good.
A modest roof sheds a surprising amount of water in a heavy storm, and all of it comes down through a handful of downspouts. If those downspouts dump beside the foundation, the water soaks straight into the soil next to the wall. That is the single most common cause of wet basements and moving foundations we see, and one of the easiest to improve.
We trace each downspout to where it lands, then make a plan. Extensions carry water several feet from the wall. Buried solid pipe takes it farther, to a daylight outlet or a drain, and splash blocks protect the soil where water leaves the pipe. We also look at the gutters themselves: pitch, size, clogging and the way water gets from roof to gutter. Small corrections here can spare much bigger repairs later.
Simple extensions move water several feet from the wall and splash blocks keep it from washing out the soil.
A solid pipe carries water far from the house to daylight or a drain, out of sight and out of the way of mowing.
Pitch, clogging and undersized gutters let water spill at the wall. We note what to clean or change.
Downspout lines tie into French drains, catch basins and grading so the whole system works together.

You tell us what you have noticed, a crack, a damp smell, a sloping floor or standing water, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We look closely inside and out, measure floors and cracks, check moisture and drainage and take photos of anything of note.
We explain what is urgent, what can wait and what is optional, and give you a written scope and options.
