A careful look at the foundation, inside and out, with measurements, photos and a written report in plain language.
A foundation inspection answers the questions every owner has: is that crack serious, why does that door stick, is the floor really sloping and should we be worried about the damp smell. Most foundation problems start slowly, and early attention costs far less than waiting. An inspection puts facts behind the worry, whether the answer is reassuring or not.
We walk the outside first, looking at the grade, the gutters, the downspouts, the walls, the cracks and the brick. Then we go inside to look at floors, doors, walls, the basement or the crawl space and the places where plumbing enters. We measure floors with a level, track cracks with a gauge, take photos and check moisture. Afterward you get a written report that explains what we found, what is urgent, what can wait and what simply needs watching. Many owners tell us the most helpful part is simply hearing what is normal for a house of their age. Almost every home has a few cracks, and knowing which ones are ordinary lets you stop worrying about them.
